Hello,

I am looking to use the ADC-100 to capture voltage and current waveforms on a 50 or 60 Hz cycle and capture 5 or 6 periods respectively. We want to sample each channel at 100 ks/S and only capture 10,000 data points for each channel. The ADC-100 seems ideal for this application. Only one question, Does each channel sample at 100 ks/S or is that total for both channels(i.e. you can only sample each channel at 50 ks/S).

Hi,

Thank you for your post.

When both channels are active the sample rate of 100kSps is divided equally between them. However, another aspect is also taken into account the PC, since the PC windows clock is used to control the sample rate it is unlikely that you requirements would be met.

I would advise that you look at the ADC-212/3, this unit is a far superior product, which only cost a little extra. The unit does the sampling on board the unit and then downloads the data, so there is no interference by the operating system while collecting data.

Best regards,
