Hi,
I have an application which requires 17 analogue inputs sampled "near" simultaneously, and this product looks ideal.
Does the USB option work with this unit?
Where is the ADC done? I presume it’s in the box but I know that it is possible to use the parallel port direct to do simple ADC? If it’s in the box I can site the unit as close to the source of the voltages to sample and run a longer parallel lead to keep the noise down.

Keep well,

Will

Hi,

Thank you for your post.

The ADC conversion is carried out inside the unit. The USB to parallel port adapter can be used with all our parallel port products.

It might be possible to extend the parallel side, but only up to 4 metres, the unit is powered via the PC and increasing the lenght of cable could have an adverse effect on the voltage available.

Best regards,
