I need to record the rpm of two shafts over a 24 hour period. What type of sensor would I need to use with an ADC-11 data logger to perform this function?

Hello BRumfelt,

You would need a sensor producing a d.c. voltage which varies between 0 to 2.5V proportional to rpm.

If the sensor voltage output range is greater than 2.5V, then you could use a simple resistive divider to bring it into range of the ADC-11.
