Dear Sirs,
I bought a PICO USB Parallel Port to connect to a ADC212-100 and unfortunately the PicoScope doesn't work. I install the PICOSCOPE R5.16.2 in 2 laptops (a recent ACER and Sony Vaio with USB2.0) working with XP. The reported error is: ADC200 Driver V4.50 Error 13 (H13 S61) picopp.sys v1.13.
What can I do?
Regards

Hi,
Are you sure that the ADC212/50 still works OK, using the same parallel lead on a normal printer port? Your message suggests either a faulty scope or faulty lead. Can you check this out first.

Hi.
Thanks for your attention.
I try the ADC212/100 with a LPT1 port and works fine with XP in an old Toshiba laptop. I forget to mention that I first have installed a USB TC-08 termocouple data acquisition. Could be the reason?

Paulo A.

Hi,
Just to be clear, did you install the TC-08 on the old Toshiba or the new Acer & Sony laptops?
As always, next step is to un-install using the "Remove" option in the installer program and then do an install. If you will be using two different Pico devices on any PC, also tick the "Install for other devices" box when you select the first device.
Try that and let us know how you get on.

Hi.
I removed all the Pico software and I have reinstalled.
I make another trying with the Picoscope, ADC212/100 and the USB parallel adapter. Unfortunately, is not working. It says "Waiting for ADC", or something else.
Moreover, I also have a ADC11 and it works perfectely with the USB parallel port adapter.
In my opinion, the ADC212/100 works fine with the parallel port, the parallel USB adapter was tested and works good, so what can I do? Driver problems?
Best regards,
PAulo A.

Hi,
Just to be certain, when you go to "Files\Setup\Converters" to select "ADC-212" you are selecting "USB-LPT1" and not "LPT1"?
That would cause this problem if you get it wrong.

Hi.
I have installed the ADC212-100 with the USB-LPT1 and Unfortunately I cannot be succeeded. Moreover, I don't know if it helps, but when I connect the oscilloscope, the PC gives 2 sounds indicating that it seems to be working but nothing happens.

Hi.
I still don“t have a solution for my problem.

I can't use the ADC212-100 with the USB parallel interface. Is working in your lab?

It is a software bug and I wait for the solution or it is better to send the USB interface back to PICO?
Best regards,
Paulo A.

Hi,

I am having no problem running an ADC-212/100 via our USB-LPT converter, here on the helpdesk. I am using XP Sp2. We have this morning just released a new update to the PicoScope & PicoLog software with numerous bugfixes. (R5.17.1). I suggest you download that and see if that helps your case. Both old and new versions work here. Don't forget to un-install R5.16.2 first by starting the old install and selecting "Remove". Then run the new install, select ADC-212 as the device and tick "Install for other devices".

Hi PeterF.

I have an ADC212-100 (in the back of the equipment it shows *BAL83/024*) and unfortunately PICOSCOPE 5.17.1, 5.16.2 and 5.11.08 are not working with the USB/parallel interface. I also have done several tests with different laptops and the result is always bad. I'm working with Windows XP professional 2002 SP2 .

Moreover, I discover that the ADC212-100 works fine with PICOSCOPE version 5.09.4 - 32 bit, both with LPT1 and USB interface.

So, I wonder once again what can I do because I start to be a little tired.

For your evaluation, in the release 5.09.4 - 32 bits, shows:
ADC200 Driver V3.02
ADC212-100 on USB-PP1
Batch BAL83
cal date 05Nov02
picopp.sys V.12

on the 5.16.2 - 32bits indicates:
Tel.xxxx
Fax.xxx
ADC200 Driver V4.50
Error 13(H0 S0)
picopp.sys v0.0

Best regards
Paulo A.

Hi Paulo,

This is Ziko, Peter is away for the next couple of days. It is very difficult to try and diagnose the problem without being able to recreate it. I would suggest sending the unit to us so we can see if we can recreate the problem (even though you say it has worked on an earlier version), if you could email us at support@picotech.com we can take this further.

When you email us I would also like you to try the and find following files:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\adc200.sys

c:\windows\system32\drivers\picopp.sys

Check what the File version number is for these files by right clicking and choosing properties.

Kind regards
