I just received a PicoScope model 3206 kit. I inserted the CD and did the installation. This installed PicoScope Automotive. Part way through the installtion it asked if I wanted to get the latest versionof the software. I replied yes and it downloaded a new version, which I installed. This looks like it installed a more fully functional version of the software, including PicoLog, etc. I thought the newer version of software would overwrite the older version of software but it installed in a separate directory.

Can I safely remove the PicoScope Automotive part without losing any functionality?

Hi and thank you for your post.

You must have received the wrong CD, since you installed the non automotive software, you can safely remove the automotive software. PicoScope and PicoScope Automotive are separate software and as such do not affect each other.
