My 3204 worked fine with my old windows XP laptop, but i am having problems with getting it to work on windows vista.
I downloaded the latest software (5.16.2) but everytime i start it informs me that the ps3000 is not connected.
If i unplug and then plug the usb back in i get a USB device not recognised error does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Hi and thank you for your post.

What I would do is go into device manager, whilst the 3204 is connected. Go to universal serial bus controllers, and if you see a yellow question mark, right click and uninstall the device. Once you have done this un plug the 3204 wait for a few seconds, plug it back in a new hardware wizzard should pop up, go through the installation process again and let me know how you get on.

Kind regards

Thank you for the response Ziko.
I have checked the device manager and the only message is unknown device. I have tried a uninstall and reinstalled the software but the same thing happens, when i plug in the 3204 it starts to load device drivers but then reports that the USB device has malfunctioned.
I know that the USB port is good, i have used it with several other devices. The 3204 still works fine on my old laptop. I have "onecare" installed and to get the mobile device center working with my phone i had to manually open some ports - could this be a similar issue with the 3204?

Hi when I mean uninstall I do not mean the software, I mean the unknown device, you right click on it and click on uninstall that and not our software.

Are you logged in as an administrator or do you have the password at least for the administrator to allow you to install the drivers?

Let me know how you get on.
