When we first launched Picoscope (v5), the meter metered: it showed a voltage display. Now if it is launched, it stays blank and Picoscope slows down -- a lot. Scope and Spectrum are working fine (except for missing X and Y axes labeling, that's in another topic I posted earlier).

Hi and thank you for your post.

If you have more than one window open then the software needs to refresh both of them and hence it will be slower.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help.

How long do I need to keep the meter window open before it will show a reading? It's been open now for 15 minutes and is still blank. I have two other windows open: one scope, one spectrum.

Hi I didn't realise that you get no display on your screen for the meter.

Could you tell me which version of the software that you are running? Also I would recommend to download the latest version of our software to see if this resolves your problem.

Kind regards

Thank you.

I am running PicoScope 5.15.6 -- downloaded from the Picotech site on Friday, three days ago. The first time we launched Picoscope, the meter worked. Now it doesn't. I have closed and relaunched Picoscope and it does not solve this problem.

I cannot recreate this, could you send a screen shot of what you see? I would also be interested in finding out which scope you are using?

Kind regards

The scope is a 3206. I have attached a screenshot of the dead meter.

Hi and thank you for your post.

You may need to change your font colour for text and not just the trace.

Hope this helps.

How embarassing! That was the problem, of course.
