Hello,
Please confirm if the 3423 supplied in the auto kit can reliably
capture in real time, a complete CAN 2.0B message frame
at 1Mbit/s first time or will multible samples be required.
Sampling both CAN_H and CAN_L lines at the same time.
Then can we successfully zoom in and check bit timing without
losing integrity.

Oli,
I don't think that would be a problem. Of course it depends on how much time you put on the screen. Running two channels with 200ms on the screen, (20ms/div) your true sample rate will be 1.25 MHz and the samples will be 800 nanoseconds apart.
For other time bases you can calculate the sample rate using this calculator:

For two channel use, put in 256,000 for buffer and 10MHz for max sample rate. |
