I need to isolate my picoscope 3223 from the ground circuit in the computer. All the websites I have found list USB isolators for USB 1.1. I would like to run the version 6 software which can use USB 2.0.

If I think to isolate the ground by using a differential probe, then all the units I can find on the web have attenuators on them. Are there any available that can maintain a 1:1 ratio? Or else a USB isolator that runs USB 2.0

Hi Nathan and thank you for your post. Could you tell me what are you trying to measure and what problems, if any, that you are having? The more information you provide the more I will be able to help.

Kind regards

Thank you Ziko for considering my question.

I am using my picoscope 3223 to measure signals from a bench mounted automotive alternator tester. The 5 hp motor driving the belt is 220VAC. I have tried to isolate things as much as I can to prevent ground loops, ground ambiguity, and voltage spikes, but I succeeded in crashing my computer several times anyway.
I am looking for a USB 2.0 isolator that would keep my computer electrically separate from my picoscope. I hope this helps explain my situation. If not, feel free to ask more questions.

Nathan
