How accurate is the usb tc-08 with very low signals? I see that the accuracy is listed at 20bit which (I believe) should give it good resolution over the +-70mV range it operates over. However I want to measure a load cell output signal of about 2mV maximum amplitude. Is this possible, or would I need to get extra equipment to amplify the signal by a factor of 10 or so? If this is the case would you be able to suggest anything suitable?

Also is there any way of speeding up the usb tc-08 like there was with the old serial tc-08 by sacrificing accuracy? For other testing I would like to sample faster but reduce the resolution to 12-14bit.

Thanks for your help,

Rob

Hi

Thank you for your post.

2mV input should be fine with the TC-08, as it has such a high resolution. The voltage accuarcy of the TC-08 is 0.2% of reading ±10uV. This should therefore be fine for your application.

Best Regards
