I have a problem with an ADC3206 oscilloscope. I'm running windows xp service pack 1 on a compaq nx9010 notebook.
The driver is installed properly and device manager doesn't report a problem, but when I start Picoscope, 80% of the time it fails to start, saying that it couldn't open the device. Sometimes it looks like picoscope is reinstalling the driver when it starts, because I hear the sound windows playes whan it detects new hardware.
Aditionally, Windows recognizes the device as a USB 2.0 device, but it says it is connected to a 1.1 port, even though I know I connected it to a 2.0 port.
Can you help me?

Hi
Thank you for your post, I am sorry to hear that you have been seeing problems.
Firstly, whilst the PS3206 reports as a USB1.1 device to begin with it will then enumerate and use USB 2 when the software opens - this is all to do with the way that the unit communicates with the computer when first plugged in.
If the unit will not always open this may be a power issue- try using the power adaptor that came with the unit and see if this helps. Let me know how you get on.
Best Regards |
