I am using an ADC 11 (parallel port) with a laptop and I am getting a lot of noise problems (voltage variation of about 0.2V) I have the data logger earthed but the problem persists. Can anyone help?

Can you tell us when this noise appears? Is it present when you are using open channels?

If so, this is quite usual. There is a quiescent effect of the A-D converter which will settle when you input a signal.
