DDE

Post by MichaelW »

Hello,
I am using PicoScope 6 to visualize Data. In the manual DDE (Dynamic Data Exchanged) is described as a possibilty to transfer data to another application (in my case a LabView App). As far as I know DDE is no longer supported by Windows 7. Is there a alternative to DDE so that I can access Osci's data?

Hi Micheal,

We have LabVIEW examples in some of our software development kits(SDK) which show how to control and get data directly from the oscilloscope.

You can download the SDK from http://www.picotech.com/software.html

Which oscilloscope are you using?

Thanks,

Hi Karunen,
I am using PicoScope 3000 Series.
Basically I'm very satisfied with PicoScope-SW because it offers me a lot of adjustments (Scaling, calculation,...) I have to use and I don't want to implement this features in labview. On the other hand the Labview-App should know about the measured data. As described in the manual DDE seemed to be a good solution in this context. Do you know any other possiblity?
Thanks
Michael

Hi Micheal,

PicoScope can export data to .txt or .csv.

Please note PicoScope will only export to about 1 million samples to .txt or .csv the rest will be truncated.

Thanks,
