Hi

I'm considering purchase of one of your scopes and wanted to try out your demo software, but cannot get it to install on my XP system - yes, I do have admin privs.

It fails on installing HDSLEEP with 'Error code: 8-193'. I think the problem is that I have my disks on a SATA RAID configuration.

Is there a way to circumvent install of HDSLEEP, or is it essential to the scope software?

Hi,

Sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Our software does not try to install the HDSLEEP, I belive this is a different application.

It is possible that you have a setup.exe file in your temp folder that is read only, so when the self extracting file starts and places the files in the temp file the setup.exe is not over written. The read only file is then executed trying to install HDSLEEP.

I would suggest that you unpack the self extracting file with winzip into a new directory and try to run the installation from there.
