Is there a published spec for noise? I had a look on 50 mV setting (20 us timebase), inputs shorted, and saw roughly Gaussian distribution with std dev of approx 4.8 LSBs, max & min excursions around +/- 15 to 18 LSB. Was expecting rather less than this - can you comment whether this is considered within normal limits?

Hi Richard,

This is as expected, we would not expect the noise to go over 1mV. When measuring higher gain, the noise will increase. This can be reduced by using the current filter

Settings | Options

or by using oversampling, in win.ini file enter the following in the Picoscope for windows part.

MaxOversample=number

where number can be in the range 1 - 16.
