ADC-16 maximum recording speed

Postby ARosales » Sun Jun 20, 2010 1:00 am

Hi,

I would like to know the recording speed limitation of the ADC-16? I believe that it may depend on the resolution (13 bits to 16 bits) and the convertion time.

Could be posible to meausre 5 single samples per second? or let say 10?

Thanks a lot,

Hi,
The ADC-16 is actually quite slow in comparison to our other loggers and may not be fast enough for your application. The fastest it can sample on a single channel is 3 samples every two seconds at full resolution.

The ADC-16's conversion time is affected by the resolution that you select to use:-
Resolution (bits) Conversion Time(ms)
8 ....................6.6
9 ....................8.9
10 ..................14
11 ..................23
12 ..................41
13 ..................78
14 ..................151
15 ..................298
16 ..................657
