121.5 MHz on 3204

Postby Malbert » Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:52 pm

How could I expect the 3204 scope to perform if measuring a VHF carrier wave (steady), say 121.5 MHz?
Thanks
Malbert

Let me ask it another way:

Would the 3204 scope be able to adequately display a 121.5 MHz sine wave using ETS?

Hi,
No, I am afraid that the analogue bandwidth of the 3204 is only 50MHz so 121.5MHz is way out of range. Some signal will be visible but at a very low amplitude.
