Serial TC-08 connected to Asus EeePC - timing issue

Postby job71se » Tue Feb 16, 2010 4:37 pm

Hi, the sampling occurs with a longer interval than what is specified in settings.
When I set interval to 10s the real interval will be about 13-14s.
Same proportial error regardless of interval (1s will be 1.3s).
Any solution to this?

Hi,
The timing in PicoLog is dependent on the PC. It is possible that the Asus is just too slow or something else is running in the background. Could you please send me an example .plw file you have so I can try it here? Please send to:-
support@picotech.com
(a short file please, not a huge one!)
Regards,
PeterF.

Problem solved!
Seems like the software is dependant on the CPU frequency, the EeePC goes into power-saving mode while on battery.
After disabling the lowering of CPU frequency the timings are spot on!
