can anybody tell me if the pico 3206 can be used for checking automotive waveforms thanks ronnie

Hi the 3206 will not work with the automotive software and as such you will not have any of the saved waveforms or automotive menus.

However it is still an oscilloscope so you can probe any of the sensors if you really know what you are doing.

The 3206 is 8 bits vertical resolution whilst the automotive scopes are 12 bits.
One other thing that the 3206 does not have and that is the +/-50V input, it goes to a maximum of +/-20V. Also the automtive scopes have a little more proetection than standrads scopes we sell.
