When I'm trying to use the ADC-40, it eats all the CPU...100%. Where does this problem come from? The PC is Celeron 2.4, I also tested the ADC on AMD and Pentium processors - all the same! Does anybody have a clue how to manage this problem?

If you are using the XP Operating system, a way round this problem is to use a USB to parallel apapter.

This device was designed in pre-XP days where earlier operating systems handled parallel port communications differently.

I am trying to use an ADC-40 on a Win 2k system running on an AMD 64 3.5 Ghz machine and get a problem that the mouse movement is very slow when the scope is sampling. (Its OK when stopped). Is this the same problem? If so what should the port settins be or must I get the USB adaptor?
Thanks Geoff

Hi
You are seeing the same problem. The ADC-40 has no on board memory. The USB to parallel adapter would allow streaming and smoother mouse action.

Hi thank you for your post.

No, the USB to parallel adapter we sell is specifically designed to work for our parallel port products.

Kind regards
