Greetings to Everybody!
I am asking guideline for buying automotive PC ocilloskope.
We are KOMATSU construction equipment distributor in Estonia and have to measure many kind of electrical signals/sensors/etc.
Question:what is best for automotive measurements: 2 or 4 channel scope and how to measure voltage which is over 50 volts. Currently we are dealing with an CR Diesel engine which would not start.
Hoq much is 4 channel scope really needed instead of 2 channel
How to measure injectors voltage? Range is 110-130 volts for very short time.
Also higher voltage like 220 and 380/500 need to be measured probably in the future...
Please give me advise what to buy for those type of measurements.
It looks, that everything for injectors measurment is already in automotive kit.
Please confirm, that I understood it correct. |

Hello
Thank you for your post.
The Automotive kit prices are here on the web site.
http://www.picotech.com/auto/diagnostic-kits.html
Two channels can be fine for most needs but 4 channels adds a bit of versatility when required.
Over 50V for injector and primary ignition is taken care of by the 20:1 attenuator.
Please contact support@picotech.com if you need further advice. |
