According to specifications page in your web site, ADC-212 supports ETS up to 5 GS/s provided you have PicoScope release R5.08.0 or later.
However using the latest version of PicoScope available in your web site (5.15.6) does not show ETS option in trigger menu bar when ADC-212 converter is selected, while selectting 3000 series device makes this option available.
So, i am very confused with ETS suport of ADC-212 |

Hi, thank you for your post. Are you using the ADC212/3 as this one does not support ETS. Only the ADC212/50 and ADC212/100 support the ETS. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards |

OK. In fact, i am to buy an ADC-212/100 but currently, i am using a 3204, so i was testing PicoScope selecting ADC-212. As long as software was not able to find an actual ADC-212 device, maybe toolbars was configured for worst case (212/3), so ETS option was not available.
However, looking at programming reference for both 3200 and ADC-212 available in your web site, i could find API functions for dealing with ETS in 3200 (ps3000_set_ets() and ps3000_get_times_and_values()) while equivalent functions are missing in ADC-212 reference. Since ETS requieres critical timing in sampling hardware, i think it is not possible to implement ETS only in PicoScope software but, hardware support is needed. Maybe documentation is not up to date.
This is a link of programming guide found on your web site: "document/pdf/adc2xx.pdf". As you see, only one document is available for all ADC-2XX products.
Thanks. |

Hi
Thank you for your post.
Yes, without a unit connected it will default to a 212/3 and thus not show ETS support.
The function adc200_set_ets does exist and documentation on this exists in the file adc2x044.hlp which is installed with the drivers and examples for the ADC-212.
Best Regards |
