Here is a programme which runs fine when DRDAQ is connected to a // port
and fails when connected to the USB/Parallel port adapter :

This comment is valid on 5 different computers (different brand, all XP)
since I boughth the USB/Parallel port adapter (september 2005)
with all versions of software issued by Picotech since the purchase.

Bad luck for me, I need to use the DRDAQ on a computer with no // interface but only with USB2.

Please let me know whether you do encounter the same trouble on your system. Thank you
