|

Hi,
I used to use our AD100 with an "old" lap top, either in Win 3.1 or DOS mode - no problems.
Since using an "up-to-date Lap-Top, I have been having problems.
I have an EDR63/317 parallel adaptor, and have tried using it: I have modified win.ini to show
[ADC100]
UseAdaptor=Yes
I am logging output from a Linear Voltage Transducer over a range of approximately -19.5 to +2.0 Volts
The logging software seems to be only allowing values between -17 and -20 volts. I seems as if every time the data change by about 2 volts, a 2 volt offset is applied, so that all the data is in the range of -17 to -20 volts.
I have output the data to Excel, modified the data to show the expected curve (Ch 1 Corr) vs the source data (Ch 1) against the LH scale. Ch 2 is shown against the RH axis. All the trends are as expected - except that the channel 1 data is concertina'd into the -17 to -20 V range.
Image to follow on Monday
What do I do now?
I can send copies of logged files ~ if you wish?
Help..... Please

Hello Mike,
It sounds like the parallel port on your laptop is causing the problems.
~It is difficult to say how to solve this other than using a parallel to USB converter.
Please send us your screenshot.
Best regards,
