Hi,
My ADC-216 just quit working. I went to use it on my system that has not changed but for some reason the ADC-216 cannot be found. The RED light responds to the software when it loads, but I cannot get any readings from the ADC-216. I get Error 2. I then tried to install on a spare computer and I get Error 13, and still no ADC-216 found.
I have ruled out a computer hardware issue and software as well.
Standard WinXP system. Again, it worked fine yesterday and ever since I first bought the ADC-216 over a year or two ago.
S/N: AMR03/122
Please advise!
Much Thanks!!

Hello Russ,
Error 2, Error 4, Error 13
Unit not connected or cannot find unit.
This can be caused by other software interfering with the parallel port communications. A good way to try and prevent this happening is to try changing your printer port settings in the BIOS to one of the following modes
SPP
Output Only
Standard

Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Tried that, no change.
Forgot to mention I have a second ADC-216 and it works perfectly fine on that same computer.
I feel I may have to send in the faulty one as I have ruled out everything but the unit.
Please advise.
Much thanks!

Michael,
Is the unit still under warranty?
If not, is there anything I can check in the unit?
I have a supremely knowledgable software/hardware engineer who feels he could find the problem. Or should I send unit back to UK (I live in Canada)?

Hi

When did you buy the unit? This is how we can check on whether it is in warranty or not. It is not usually possibel to repair the unit yourself.

Best Regards
