I am using several Serial port Tc-o8 with older computers but newer computer only have USB ports. I have tried to use the Belkin converter for serial to USB interface but does not connect.

Can you tell me how to do this or is in not possible. The lap top that I am using is Windows Melinium operating system and is a Compact Presario.

Hello,

Thank you for your Post.

This could be one of two things:

1: PicoLog software is looking for the TC-08 on the wrong COM port. You can determine the COM port by looking for the Serial adapter in the device manager. Look under the Ports(COM & LPT) section. You can then view the adapter properties to find out the assimilated port number. Set the TC-08 in PicoLog to this port number.

2: The USB adapter is not supplying the voltage required. Some of these adapters do not pass an output voltage required by the TC-08. Our USB-serial adapters have been tested with our products to ensure compatability.

If neither of these work please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
