|
|
Hi,
I'm trying to install the drivers for the ADC212 with my repackaged MSI for Picoscope. I've used MS DifXApp merge module to install the ADC 212 drivers (picopp.inf and picopp.sys). These are installed fine, but the computer fails to detect the unit.
If I run the manual driver setup it works fine. Does the setup do anything additional to cause the oscilliscope to be installed?
Thanks |

Hi
Thank you for your post.
You also need to have the adc200.sys file installed. I am not sure what other files the installer puts on the computer, however the adc200.sys file is quite an important one and may be the one you are missing.
Hope this helps
Best Regards |

Thanks Sarah,
The file was present but not registered, so ran regdrive adc200 as per the manual.
For reference for anyone else who needs to do this:
I added a type 18 custom action:
Where the source was the MSI file reference for regdrive and the target was adc200.
Then I added this custom action to the end of the install sequence. Then force the machine to reboot after the MSI was installed. |
