pico ADC-216 Not starting

Pico Scope Could not open the following product (ADC-216)

I was using this a couple of months ago on a WinME system
but have a new XP system and it will not work.

When I start the scope software, the red light goes out on the 216.
Any ideas?

Hi

Thank you for your post, I am sorry to hear that you have been seeing problems.

Make sure that you are using the very latest version of our software - R5.12.2 and then also check the settings of the Parallel port in the BIOS of the computer. The mode should be set to one of the following:

SPP, Normal, Ouput Only, Unidirectional.

It was the parallel cable, wrong type or damaged. Changed it out and it works now.
