|
|
- Getting started w/ DrDAQ.
- Installed the PicoLog Recoder & PicoLog Player from the CD provided.
- Connected DrDAQ to parallel port via the supplied cable. (just a FYI the machine is a IBM Thinkpad laptop)
- Launched PicoRecoder. PicoRecoder window shows up on the screen. Seleted a new setting File-> New Setting. Also seletec "Converter Type"
to be DrRAQ & Port = LPT1.
- When I click OK, the Device Status windows tells me that it is unable to find "pico.sys".
- I can see "pico.sys" sitting in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\ dir.
Please help. |

Hi
Thank you for your post, I am sorry to hear that you have been seeing problems.
The first thing I would recommend is to make sure you have the very latest version of software installed - R5.12.1. You can get this for free from our website at:
http://www.picotech.com/software.html
If this does not help then check the parallel port mode settings in the BIOS - it should NOT be set to ECP, EPP or Bidirectional. Instead one of the following should be selected: SPP, Unidirectional, Output Only, Normal.
If none of this helps then let me know.
Best Regards |

Thank you.
The following helped me get pass the pico.sys not found error:
> cd [Path-To-Pico-Software]
> regdrive pico
I am using version 5.11.8 (just got it Apr/2005). It could be that the installer did not register "pico" properly (just guessing here I am not 100% sure)
Anyways thanks again.
Suhail. |
