Hi,

- Could you tell me when 8 bits won't be enough? I'm trying to compare the ADC-212/50 and 3204/3205 models.

- What do think about the Link Instruments DSO-2102M ?

Hi

Thank you for your post.

An 8 bit resolution is less desireable in work that requires high resolution such as Audio Analysis and seeing small signal bursts in electrical signals.

There is usually a balance to be made between sample speed and resolution as when one is faster the other has to be slower.

If you have a fast unit it will be more accurate along the X axis, if you have a high resolution unit then it will be more accurate along the Y axis.

I am unfortunately unable to comment on the Link instruments as I do not know enough about them.
