Hi Elton,
A lab scope can be used on any vehicle that uses electricity.  It is not a scanner and does not communicate with the PCM to retrieve codes and data. It does provide pinpoint testing of circuits and components, allowing you to test directly PCM inputs, outputs, and control signals and more.
The technician does the diagnosis by using good strategy and interpretation of the results. The equipment provides highly detailed and clear display for this purpose.
The automotive kit has most everything you need but the PC to get started and the automotive software has a built in technical library with samples and presets to help you. |
