ADC-16 giving stepped results

I am using an ADC-16 with 8 channels. I have set the sampling rate to 5ms single sampling, to match the 200Hz sampling rate stated in the User Manual.

On a channel receiving a smooth input (from an LVDT) the ADC-16 is recording a stepped output, stepping at between 1.14 and 2.3 seconds.

How do I increase the sampling rate?

Hi

Thank you for your post.

The sampling rate of the ADC-16 is not 200Hz, but 1.5Hz. This is split between the active channels. This is why you are seeing stepped results. In order to sample fast you would need a different unit.
