The TA012 break out lead looks like an useful item. Unfortunately the local dealers do not carry it, so I need to ask how it works:
are the connectors car make specific, or is there an universal trick to connect them?
Can it be used also with some 5-pin sensors, like MAF sensor?

The breakout lead is designed for an injector. It connects to many of them, but not all. It's nice to have but it doesn't do anything you can't do by backprobing. It cannot be used on MAF sensors.
