The kit does not include any Coil On Plug adapters to aquire a secondary pattern on COP. If the coil primary is externally driven you can get a primary voltage waveform which will work fine for spark and combustion analysis but will not show you the secondary firing kv. You can also use the included low amp probe to verify primary drive by capturing primary current..
To get Secondary on COP you would either need the adapters for that application, or fashion your own pickup, of sorts, out of tinfoil. Mold the tinfoil over the coil and form a 'handle' for the capacitive pickup. I have not played a lot with this but you should be able to get a secondary waveform. As with all such adapters, you may not pick up the full secondary kv.
Another alternative is to actually remove the coil and test the output with an adjustable spark tester.
