Mark,

What are the value ranges I should expect to see back from the three byte response of the cold-junction thermistor and reference readings. Will the values ever be negative?

Hi,

The three byte response for the cold junction is:

first byte sign,

second and third bytes make up a 16 bit integer number. These numbers will be either the CJC reference or CJC thermistor depending on the control values sent to the TC-08.

The value will never be negative.
