Hi,

I would like to know which is the maximum cable length I can use with USB TC08. My application involves measuring very low voltages (between 200 and 1000 microV) with type T tc's.

Thanks

Hi and thank you for your post.

The USB specification is 5 meters, if you wish to extend it further you can use a USB hub or there are other manufacturers who can do much longer extensions on USB cables, e.g USB to Ethernet and back again.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Then cable length doesn't influence either signal quality or power supply to the TC-08?

It may very well do, what I am saying is that it should be fine at up to 5 meters, however if you wanted a longer lengths then you would have to use the appropriate devices.

Kind regards

I have used a my USB-TC-08 with a USB to ethernet equipment, but I have a problem. It worked for about 2 days. Then the program freezed and I had to close down the computer. This was when it was connected to a USB1-port. I tried again and connected it to a USB2-port. It worked for 3 days. I pulled out the USB-cable from the computer and set it back again. It worked for another day.
I had an old versio of picolog so I upgraded to 5.20.1 and now the program doesn't frezze anymore. But the loggervalue freezes after a while.
I disabled enegrysaving for the USB-port but that didn“t help.
