|
|
I am using a TC08-USB with PicoLog 5.18.0. Once I upgraded to this, , when I go to open a record with Player, or create a new one with PicoLog, I cant resize the window. Because I use long filenames (of necessity), I need to see the whole name, & preferably the creation date & about 20 or so at once.
I definitely used to be able to do this. SHould I "downgrade back to the previous version? ANyone else with the same experience ?
Thanks
DAmian

Hi Damian,
Can you clarify your question please. I can save long filenames with no problems and view them by increasing the size of the window.
You also say
"I need to see the whole name, & preferably the creation date & about 20 or so at once."
I do not understand what you mean about the creation date, can you not put that in the filename?
Also what does 20 or so at once mean?
Finally what version of software did you have installed before?
Kind regards
Ziko

Hi Ziko,
Attached is an doc file of the File-open window. I get no little arrowheads to allow me to expand the window...
What I really want is to make this window taller - see more files at once.
Think I solved the date problem Vista was showing the date modified before. Changed to create date & is ok.
I think prev version was 5-15-6 ?
Thanks
Damian

Hi Damian,
I see what you mean now, I do not think this is something that we will be changing however I have put it through as a suggestion.
Kind regards

It really does need to be fixed. When you have a directory with 40 or 50 files & need to select one, it is a real pain.
Can you tell me what the last version that worked was ? I'll go back to that until it's sorted (it's that annoying).............

Hi Damian,
There are two seperate issues that you raised:
1) Expanding the window size so you can see more files
2) Expanding the cloumn length so you can see long file names.
1) I tried 5.16.2 and it does the same thing the window does not expand, this is actually a Windows function and not PicoLog.
2) All version of PicoLog allow you to change the column length of the to show the long file names, which is also a Windows feature.
I do not recall any version that had allowed you to expand the window itself.
Kind regards
