I recently aquired an ADC-16 logger (25 way D pin each side), which I want to use to log data from my analogue 5v sunshine recorder. I have adapted the sunshine recorder to get the voltage down with the use of resistors but when I try to PicoScope the ADC-16 doesn't come up as an option. File>Setup>Converter ?
The PLW Recorder seems to be happy with COM6 Ch1 As the voltage is connected to Pin1 of the 25 way D.
I wonder if anyone can advise me where I'm going wrong?
Unfortunately I only get the voltage from my recorder when the suns out, so I probably can't test things when it's not

Hi the ADC16 does not use PicoScope it is purely a data logger.

Ah, trying to get the ACD-16 to see PicoScope wasn't necessary then. I finally got things working using version ~16.2. It was the Windows 3.1x software that initially was the only one to see the ADC-16, but with that I had this sample time problem. I reloaded version ~16.2, without uninstalling the 3.1x version and everything seems to be working fine now.
Btw, I'm running Windows XP. As for the USB-Serial adaptor, I may try this again, as I currently have it installed on another PC that has the 15 way D Serial port, my main machine only has USB, hence the other question.

Hi Keith, I am little confused with your last post. Not sure what the problem you are having with the USB to serial adapter.
Normally when you have a USB to serial adapter you need to:
1)Install the drivers withouth device plugged in
2) Plug in the USB to serial adapter WITHOUT the ADC16
3) Findo out what COM port it is assigned to in device manager
4) Plug in the ADC16 to the adapter and choose the corresponding COM port in PicoLog Recorder
5) If PicoLog does not give you the option to choose the converter or the COM port then you need to select "File->Preferences->Converter" and then select "Ask During Configuration".
