I am using Picolog to record temperatures from a serial TC-08, and I wondered if you can use alarms set in picolog to control external equipment
(We are looking to add a safety cut-out to a hotplate being run unattended, and which is already being logged, and wondered if there was any way to obtain this using your equipment or if there are any simple additional items we could get to add this functionality).
Thanks,
Simon |

Hello Simon,
That would not be possible using PicoLog or the TC08, however, it could be possible using one of our general pupose Data Loggers (ADC-11, ADC-20, ADC-24) with appropriate interfacing and, writing your own application software.
Alternatively, you could build your monitoring system from our EnviroMon product range (http://www.picotech.com/enviromon.html), using the existing software and modified alarm modules to control external devices.
If you require further details, please email me support@picotech.com
Regards
