I'm interesting in the drdaq data logging module for an aquarium application. Is it possible to hook up a salinity probe?

Thanks!

Hi,

To connect the salinity probe to the DRDAQ its output would have to be 0-2.5 volts. If it is above this then the output would have to be reduced with a potential divider.

The LSB for the DRDAQ is 2.44 mV, if your convertor produces voltage changes above this then it should be OK.

To fix the convertor to the DRDAQ have a look at the section 'Making your own sensors' in the manual. If you do not have a copy of the manual one can be downloaded from here.

Where can I find a salinity probe or get information on making one to work with DrDAQ. I also would like to log the salinity for a Marine Aquarium, along with pH and Temp.

Hi,

I do not known where you will be able to get them from or how to make them, but you could try these distributors:

www.farnell.com
www.rswww.com

Perhaps someone else on the forum can explain where they can be purchased from or how to make them.

Best regards,
