Hello

I'm trying to communicate with a ADC212/100 using the drivers in the ad200.tar archive. The driver can't find a compatible unit, but apparently it sees the 212. The status code is 2 (unknown hw), I think. If I turn off the power to the 212 I get status 7 (no hw found).

Isn't the 212 supported by the linux driver?

Hi,

Have you tried to see if the unit works with our software on a windows machine?

Kind regards

Ok, that is bad news for us. We will have to try using labview then.

Is there any chance that you will release the source for the current driver?

This is really a problem if the ADC212 is not supported by the Linux driver, since
the web page indicated that the Linux driver supports the ADC212 (in my case,
the ADC212/50). When I attempt to communicate through the parallel port, I only
get a "0" returned from adc200_open_device(), with no diagnostic messages
coming from a200lnx to suggest what the problem might be.

If I can't operate the ADC212 under Linux, then I'm going to have to return it
for a refund. It seems a shame, considering that it is the cheapest device for
the performance it delivers. Instead, I'm going to end up a week late on the
delivery of this test equipment. That does not make me happy.
