I've tried installing this onto a PC with Windows XP & when the installation software gets to the end of setup, the installation process rolls back with nothing being installed.
PLEASE HELP!

P.S. We've tried installing the original software (provided with the hardware) & it does install, but cannot find the driver V4.0 (Error msg = pico.sys not found)

Hi Pico,
I have the same problem.

I have the ADC 11, 12 bit version. I can't get the install to complete.

I have Win XP and the very old version did install, but couldn't see the ADC, so that's why I upgraded.

I've read through the forums, and before you ask, I have installed the latest release of the software.

Point to note, I'm also using a second parallel port to interface the ADC.

What's the work around?

Regards,
Adam

Hi,
I have seen this exact problem before. A new version of software would not install over an old one and you got a roll-back at the end. It was caused by the presence of a second parallel port card during install. Try removing the card while you do the install, then turn-off, re-fit the card and start again. Not every parallel card is guaranteed to work but most do. Make sure it can be set to "Output Only", not "Bidirectional" or "EPP" or "ECP".
Please let us know if it works.
