Does the TC-08 Data Logger need any additional equipment (temperature/voltage converter) to be able to take a temperature reading using thermocouples? or can the software convert the thermocouple voltage straight into a temperature?

Hi the TC-08 plugs into the PC via USB or serial (depending on which one you purchased). It is powered by the port and does not require any extra hardware. The TC-08 has 8 mini thermocouple inputs, which is the standard thermocouple interface these days. It is driven using our software or if you wish to write your own software you can also do this.
