Hi
I'm using an ADC100 with windows 2000
I have a mass of 5kg with a piezoelectric accelerometer attached which is dropped from a height of 1.1m to give an impact velocity of 4.66 m/s.
Picoscope only gives the peak deceleration in m/V during impact , but what I realy need is the peak deceleration (in g) during impact.
Is there a simple conversion I can use or is there an alternative to ADC100 which would be more suitable.

John

Hi and thank you for your post.

Depending on the output of your transducer and what it represents you can input scaling in the software to convert your voltage into acceleration you can also change the units.

If you go to settings->Custom Ranges->Add->Scaling

Under scaling you would put your raw values and your scaled values (look up table).

Hope this helps.
