Hi I am new to the forum.
and am using a logger to collect long term data.
Is it possible to switch off a process on alarm via an output from the PC serial port?
In our case it is a bearing wear rig measuring vibration, (may run 2 weeks before failure) which needs to shutdown before the bearing fails completly.
Would need to de energise the motor relay (240v ac)
thanks for any info,

Hi and thank you for your post. The only data logger that can provide an output in PicoLog is the ADC24, which has 4 Digital Outputs which can be set on an alarm. However the ADC24 has a conversion time that ranges from 60ms to 660ms.
The USBADC11 has two digital outputs (parallel has one) however you would have to write your own software to activate this feature.
With both devices you can purchase a terminal board.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards |
