Dear Sales,
I have a requirement to monitor several axes on a complex PC controlled machine. Currently, we use a parallel port ADC11/10 which suffices for most applications as the bandwidth we normally required is low.
However, there are a couple of RF modulated 16 bit data streams that I also wish to monitor and log, probably using the 212/3/50 or 100 series. The bandwidth of the data is about 300kHz, the RF carrier is 40MHz and does not need to be monitored.
Is it possible to run both the ADC11/10 and a ADC212/x on the same PC to generate a common log/plot/trace?
If so how closely synchronised would the two devices be?
What loss in sampling performance can I expect if two devices are operating?
regards,
Justin. |

Hello Justin,
Thank you for your post.
What you are attempting would require custom software. LabVIEW would be a good choice but is not available to all.
Because you require different sampling rates at faster speeds, you may be better considering a 3000 series scope with the new fast streaming mode. This mode is available from the driver only! PicoScope and PicoLog do not currently support this mode so again, custom software is the way forward.
Best regards,
Michael |
