i am having trouble with the patterns displayed for secondary ignition using the settings from the drop down automotive menu. the traces i get look nothing like the ones shown on the help file.
i've turned up the samples per trace but havent tried block mode yet (will block mode make the pattern "better", seen it mentioned on autonerdz forum).
are there a definitive bunch of settings that will universally work?
as a novice i find it difficult to trust the views i get on the scope. this knocks confidence and prevents me gaining any experience in diagnosing ht faults with the scope.

Hi Jez,
I'm sorry that you are having problems capturing secondary ignition waveforms. I should be able to help you better over the phone while you are at the PC. If you want to leave me a number I can call you back, alternatively call the office and ask for me when it suits you.
