|
|
Hi,
I want that the information (measurements) in the spreadsheet (.xls - Excel) to be updated automatically each time PicoScope collects new data, so I select Copy measurements and then Paste Link or Paste Special rather than Paste as this creates a DDE link between the applications.
This function works ok.
But when I make a math operation with this measurement data in excel spreadsheet does not work.
If I select Copy as text works successfully.
Could you advise how do it?
Thanks
Ariel

Hello,
I am not sure how you would do this with Excel.
Try copying the measurement to another cell and performing the calculation there.
The other way would involve using the device directly with the device drivers.
Best regards,
Michael

Hello, Michael.
Thank you for your post.
If I copy the measurement to another cell and performing the calculation there, does not work. The cell shows an error #VALUE!. Please , could you verify?
Remember that I want to update automatically each time PicoScope collects new data. (DDE link).
Best regards,
Ariel.

Hello,
You will need to create a Macro to pass this reading to another cell.
Create a loop to increment the cell rows and calculate your values from there.
Best regards,
Michael

Hello,
I have attached a simple spreadsheet with a DDE link to scope readings.
This spreadsheet calculates RMS volts from these measurements.
I cannot offer any more support than this.
Best regards,
Michael
