|
|
Hi Im haveing a problem with HF interference pickup on the TC-08 data logger.
I have done a search and read of similar problems im having.
I have ran an earth wire from the serial cables locking screw down to earth as is suggested but this does not help. Was this correct?
I am working in a electricaly noisey envroment. lamp ballast, inverters etc.
The high frequency is messing with the temperature read outs.
One thing i have tryed is putting 2 caps on each probe on there seporate hot and cold wires down to earth to filter out the HF. This seemed to work and my temp readings stayed stable and looked 'ok'.
Am i ok doing this or will this affect the accuracy of the reading i.e the thermocouples junction voltage ?
If this is a bad idea and earthing the serial cable 'should' of worked can someone please advise me on what to do or try.
Many Thanks

Hi Alex
Thank you for your post.
The serial earthing can help some problems but not all. It sounds like what you are doing has helped and I cannot see a reason why this would not be ok.
Best Regards |
