trigger start/stop setup and export from picolog to excel?

I hope someone can help,

I have a TC-08 and a ADC- 11 that are both connected to the usb (via a hub) to my computer. What I need to do is to record from both converters at the same time, but I would like to trigger the start and stop event. Also I would like to have the information transfered from picolog into a specific excel spreadsheet ( allowing certain information to be allocated certain cells.

Is this possible? I gather I may have to get some code developed, but would appriciate some feedback as to where to start.
